Mr.Maric

Mr. Maric appeared on the TV program, 11 PM in 1988, demonstrated spoon bending, and caused the first magic boom.
During this time, Uri Gellar 's extrasensory perception (ESP) TV program was broadcast, and people became interested in ESP. His program excited people, and the next special program was immediately broadcast.
But he did not advertise his act as magic, and some people believed him to be a psychic. In 1991, Yumu Hajime said that his performance was not ESP, and he was accused of performing the hoax throughout Japan.

Then, he experienced facial paralysis and rested for a while.

In 1997, he declared that he was indeed a magician and had a comeback. Currently, he is appearing on the front line of television. He prepares new acts for every program, and includes all innovative ideas. Because of these ethics, all magicians respect him.
His program contains many acts such as "Please find a mechanism." Therefore, many people believe that magic is a trick for detecting secrets, and enjoying it. This is a controversial issue concerning magic in Japan.
However, he is undoubtedly a great magician, who remains important in the history of Japanese magic.


Maeda Tomohiro(Tomo Maeda)

Maeda Tomohiro appeared on Super TV in 2004 and caused the second magic boom. This "super TV" emphasized a sincere approach to magic; it was a very high quality program.


Due to his instigation of a magic boom, various magicians appear on TV as often as every day. He is the most influential magician to the young magicians working now.

Cyril Takayama

Cyril appeared on Magic Revolution Cyril in 2004 and caused the magic boom along with Maeda Tomohiro. He imitated David Blaine's street magic and brought it to Japan, which made many people respond enthusiastically.


Cyril's shows influenced the production of street magic TV programs by other magicians. He is now making a great success with his current show.
